Hidden Universe Travel Guides: Star Trek: Vulcan (1) Details
Review "Noted Star Trek novelist Dayton Ward wrote Star Trek: A Travel Guide to Vulcan, and the book hilariously refuses to break character even when it describes the way that visitors to this world might be drawn into a conflict over a Vulcan arranged marriage." — Nerdist.com"The planet Vulcan may have been destroyed in J.J. Abrams’ first Star Trek movie, but its legacy lives on. Insight Editions’ new Hidden Universe Travel Guide takes readers on an extensive tour of the Federation’s most logical planet. Modeled after real-world travel books, the guide explores the core components of Vulcan language, customs, and geography, compiled from 50 years of Star Trek stories." — Entertainment Weekly“Hidden Universe: Star Trek: A Travel Guide to Vulcan is an essential addition to any Star Trek fan’s library, especially those who have always longed to see Spock’s home world and learn everything there is to know about it.” — Geeks of Doom Read more About the Author Livio Ramondelli has illustrated several major Transformers comics projects for IDW Publishing. Reviews
I have been looking forward to this book ever since I heard the interview with author Dayton Ward about it on Trek.fm's Literary Trek podcast. I opened the package and read it right away. To be clear I have not finished the book just yet but I felt compelled to leave it a review before I continue. The book itself is incredibly well done. It's amazingly creative in that the book made Vulcan felt like a real place that I would actually want to visit. Both the artwork and the writing is simply wonderful. I highly recommend this book to all Trek fans.I hope they produce more of these types of books, perhaps a travel guide to Ferenginar? I can imagine how fun that book could be.
