About the Author Beloved Canadian artist and writer Emily Carr (December 13, 1871 to March 2, 1945) was born in Victoria, British Columbia. She studied art in the US, England and France until 1911 when she moved back to British Columbia. They named her The Mother of Modern Arts about five years later. Read more
Reviews
The illustrations in this book of a sisters trip together are perfect. Anyone who has traveled with a sibling might enjoy this book almost as much as I do. Emily Carr may not be known here in the US, but she is beloved in her native Canada, especially around Victoria on Vancouver Island where she lived.
